RECOVERED YET?????

Well it has been over 2 months since the goofy challenge and yep, I'm still trying to recover! For anyone who is thinking of doing what I did I'm going to say one thing....
just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into! :)
After visiting the doctor and taking 2 months off of running everyday, I'm starting to get anxious to get out there and train for another race. "What is wrong with me? after what that last race put me through you'd think I'd be done!" but I'm not and I'm starting another count down for the next race which will be in June. (lets just hope my knee won't start acting up)

This year will be a little different then last year. I have 4 or 5 races that I'd like to accomplish, where last year was extreme and I ran in and finish 12 different races from 10k's, to 1/2 marathons, to 188mile relay, and then the finale, the 1/2 and full marathon back to back. (still not quite sure how I pulled that one off!)

This year race list so far consists of the Provo River 10 miler in June, the Freedom 10K in July, the Skyline 10K @ 10K, and the main one I want to focus on is the Hobble Creek 1/2 marathon in August. I am hoping to get my personal record during this race.

So I guess.....just wish me luck for this year!

  1. Good luck running! I am glad that you are not quitting, I never thought you would even consider it, so that never crossed my mind. It was always when you start up again, not if.
    I am proud of you and all that you do.
    Let me know when you are ready to run again, I want to run with you.

  2. It doesn't surprise me at all that you are STILL recovering from that. Seriously, think about what you put your poor little body through! I still want to do the Hobble Creek with you. (well, I won't be keeping up with you, but we can start out together)!!
